The La Vie™ Vegan Quiche Lorraine

A vegetable shortcrust pastry (homemade, for gourmet piggies)
150g La Vie™ bacon lardons
150g silky tofu
15 cl of vegetable cream
25g corn starch
A pinch of malted yeast
A pinch of black Himalayan salt (for egg taste - optional)
A pinch of turmeric (for colour)
Pepper
Nutmeg

Step 1:
Preheat your oven to 180°.
Spread the dough in a pie pan and prick it with a fork.

2nd step:
Fry the bacon lardons in a hot pan with a little oil.
Cook for 5-6 minutes until nicely brown

Step 3:
Prepare the quiche mixture by mixing the tofu, cream, and corn starch in a bowl. Blend with an immersion blender.
Season to taste with salt, pepper, a pinch of nutmeg, malted yeast and turmeric.

Step 4:
Arrange the grilled bacon lardons in the bottom of the pie and carefully pour the quiche mixture over it.

Step 5:
Bake for 35 minutes, until the quiche starts to colour.

Step 6:
Enjoy with a crunchy salad.
